There’s something about May in Colorado that feels like the start of something new — the air is fresh, the greens are vibrant, and wedding season begins to bloom in the most beautiful way. I had the honor of second shooting this stunning wedding at Sanctuary Golf Course for the incredibly talented Claire Kreklow, and it was truly such a special day to be part of.
Sanctuary Golf Course is one of those venues that takes your breath away the moment you arrive. The dramatic rock formations, sweeping views, and perfectly kept greens create a backdrop that feels both grand and intimate all at once. In May, everything was lush and alive, the kind of setting that makes every photo feel elevated and timeless.
The details of this wedding were absolutely gorgeous. Every element felt intentional and thoughtfully designed — from the florals to the textures to the small personal touches woven throughout the day.
The ceremony space at Sanctuary is truly something special. Set against Colorado’s rolling landscape and iconic red rock formations, it feels almost cinematic. The combination of soft May light and the natural beauty of the venue created such a romantic atmosphere as the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their people.
Being a second shooter is always such a gift. It allows me to support another photographer while also capturing complementary perspectives, the reactions, the movement, and the small emotional exchanges that might otherwise go unseen.
Grateful to have been a small part of it.
